Obama wrote in his autobiography about his interest in India. In his words, “India has a huge population, one-sixth of the world’s population, 2,000 nations, more than 700 languages.” That’s probably why Obama likes the country.
This is his first visit to India since becoming US President in 2010. But this country has a special place in his heart. He wrote, ‘I spent my childhood in Indonesia. I heard the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata there. From then on, the attraction with India was created. Besides, I may have been attracted to the religion of the West or a group of Indian and Pakistani college friends. They taught me how to cook pulses and minced meat. I also saw Bollywood movies with them.
Obama did not type the autobiography on the computer. Rather he wrote with a pen on a yellow pad. In Obama’s words, my book is for the younger generation. The book invites change in the whole world with hard work, determination and willpower. America will be built by destroying the best of us all.
