Iran has hanged a man accused of spying for the United States and Israel. After Ali Khamenei, the religious leader of that country, General Qasim Soleimani had infinite power. Suleimani was killed in a US drone strike in Baghdad on January 3. He has flown so far that Iran has even issued an arrest warrant against Trump.
Now financially devastated Iran. The United States has unilaterally withdrawn from the nuclear deal. Hassan Rouhani’s Iran is under pressure from the US. Naturally, protests are taking place in the streets like sparks. The police are dispersing. The administration had earlier sentenced the three defendants to death. Later, however, it was postponed.
The man who was hanged today is Mahmoud Mousavi Majid. He was arrested for spying on Qasim Soleimani. He was also accused of having contacts with the United States and Israel. However, the Iranian government said Majid had nothing to do with Soleimani’s death. So why is Majid hanged in this protest situation of the country? Experts say Iran has reaffirmed its policy of repression. He explained that there is no salvation.
