At least 13 people have been killed in a bus fire in Pakistan on their way to Karachi. The bus caught fire due to the accident. The condition of five others is critical. As a result, the death toll could rise further.
At least 13 people were killed in a fire on a passenger bus in Pakistan on Saturday. The bus was going from Hyderabad, Pakistan to Karachi. Disaster strikes before reaching the destination. The bus caught fire due to excessive speed.
After a preliminary investigation, police said the over-speeding bus was speeding on the empty road. When the wheel skids due to high speed, the driver loses control. The bus with the passengers ate the sail. Earlier, the bus catches fire in the blast. Not everyone could get out because the bus overturned. At least 13 people have died from burns and smoke.
According to Pakistan Police sources, the passenger bus was involved in an accident near Nuriabad on its way from Hyderabad to Karachi. There were 22 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. Of these, 13 died. Additional IG Aftab Pathan said that many people could not get out as the bus was overturned. It was possible to rescue a few people due to the efforts of the locals. However, out of the nine people rescued, only five are in critical condition. The rest were injured. The injured were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Before the engine of the team could reach the spot, a huge flame spread to the whole bus.
The bus met with an accident after traveling 60 km from Hyderabad. It was not possible to retrieve all the bodies from the cursed bus until late Saturday night. The bus was completely burnt down. The bodies could not be identified, police said. It is not known that it has been burnt in such a horrible way.
Earlier this year, six members of the same family were burnt to death in a fire in a moving van in New Karachi. Four of them are children. Five other passengers of the van were burnt.
At least 15 people were killed in a similar fire on a passenger bus in Pakistan’s Balochistan province in December last year. The bus caught fire shortly after a head-on collision with a van. The fire spread quickly and not all the passengers got a chance to get off.
According to Xinhua news agency, the accident took place in the Kan Mehtarajai area of Jhob district in Balochistan. The driver of the van lost control and hit the passenger bus coming from the opposite direction. Police said the van was carrying Iranian fuel oil. The fire started due to the presence of fuel oil.
