According to U.S. research physician Stephen Gundry, there are several plants that are capable of producing lactin in themselves. This lactin is part of their ‘defense mechanism’. This lactin helps to protect the plants from insects. When this lactin comes in contact, the body of the insect loses its function and becomes numb. Stephen said lactin has a greater effect on grains such as peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans, peanuts, cashews, and dried lentils.
