Yogurt is a favorite food of many of us. It can be eaten on an empty stomach as well as it can be made into fun food. Yogurt is one such food. The dish is made with sour-sweet yogurt and masala pulses. Debra is a popular item of Iftar in our country.
Ingredients
Maskalaiyera dal: 1 cup
Sour yogurt: 1 cup
Sweet yogurt: 1/2 cup
Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Chaat Masala: One and a half teaspoon
Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon
Chili powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Amount of tamarind sauce
Salt: Quantitatively
Beet salt: 1/2 teaspoon (quantity)
Mint leaf paste: 1 teaspoon
Oil: As much as deep frying in oil
Steps
Step 1
Wash the pulses and soak them in water overnight. Then blend to make a thick paste.
Step 2
Now beat with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and baking powder for about 10/15 minutes.
Step 3
Now put oil in the pan and put it in the oven. When the oil is hot, fry all the baras on medium heat till golden brown. In a dish, mix salt in lukewarm water and soak the baras for 15/20 minutes.
Step 4
All the other ingredients given above should be mixed together to make this sauce.
Step 5
When the sauce is ready, test it with your mouth to see if there is anything less, if it is less / more then you will fix it.
Step 6
Now in a serving dish, take the big ones out of the water, lightly chip them and pour the curd gravy on it.
Step 7
Top with chaat masala, chilli powder and tamarind sauce and serve.
