He represented Kerala and Railways in his cricket career. In all, he played 72 first-class cricket matches. From 1991 to 2005, he took a total of 198 wickets in domestic cricket. The left-arm spinner has played in a total of 51 List matches in his career.
Besides bowling, Suresh was also known as a good batsman. He also has a century next to his name in first-class cricket. Suresh played for Rahul Dravid’s Under-19 Indian team against New Zealand in 1992. He was the first cricketer from Kerala to get a chance in the Under-19 Indian team at that time.
