Most people infected with the new coronavirus have signs or symptoms of the disease. Researchers have reviewed about 80 research reports on people who tested positive for Covid-19 in the PCR test. And they have seen that most of the people infected with this virus have symptoms of infection. According to various reports, only 20% of the total victims are asymptomatic. The rest show symptoms of the disease. They also obtained detailed information about the spread of coronavirus from five studies.
It has been claimed for so long that asymptomatic patients are more dangerous. Because they are unknowingly spreading the infection around them. This claim cannot be completely refuted. Asymptomatic people are also free from infection. However, by comparing between asymptomatic and asymptomatic corona infections, the researchers found that asymptomatic people spread the infection less.
Researchers have also given a percentage of how low it is. It has been found that asymptomatic people are 75% less likely to spread the virus than those with symptoms. Details of the study were published in the journal PloS Medicine.
Dr. Nicola Lowe of Bern University, who was involved in the study, told Reuters that literally, a handful of people with SARS-CoV-2 infection were asymptomatic. They also claim that coronavirus infections are relatively rare because asymptomatic people are less contagious than those with symptomatic viruses.
