Rajasthan Royals mentor Shane Warne is seeking some changes in T20 cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and other former cricketers have taken to Twitter to express their desire.
Shane basically talks about three changes. Talking about those 3 changes in T20 cricket, Shane wrote on Twitter, “It is important to surround the outfield with grass in all venues, big and small.” Speaking about the second change, Shane Warne wrote, “The bowlers have to bowl a maximum of five overs, not four.”
Then Shane Warne comes straight to the pitch and talks about the third change. In his words, ‘Pitch must be judged seriously. And the pitch cannot be made as flat as possible. Because we are interested in watching the game of bat and ball. Not six! ‘
Shortly after the tweet, Shane Warne threw a straight question mark at the former cricketers, saying, “Do you like my proposal?” Sourav, Sachin, Lara are there. Shane Warne has also tagged former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen and Mike Atherton. However, none of the star cricketers have yet given an answer to Warne’s question. However, Warne’s former teammate Mark Waugh agreed with his proposal, saying, “From now on, leg bye should also be considered a dead ball.”
T20 cricket is becoming more important day by day. And in that cricket, batsmen are becoming more important than bowlers. Almost every match in the IPL shows us the importance of batsmen. As difficult as it is for bowlers to take wickets on a flat pitch, sending batsmen out of bounds is becoming more and more difficult. And that is why the team is already surpassing 200 runs in several matches in this IPL. And the opposing team is also getting very close to that run.
